Red! Sweet! Juicy! Watermelons are pure summer. Everyone knows them as a snack, but have you ever tried watermelon juice? With chia seeds, cucumber and mint, this is an ingenious refreshment for all picnickers, athletes and sunbathers. The red energizer supplies the body with lots of vitamins and minerals, while the high-fiber seeds help well beyond the small hunger.

This drink belongs in your fridge, especially if you are vegan, as the chia seeds contain three times as much calcium as milk. In addition, they are rich in iron and the top plant supplier of omega-3 fatty acids. Even better, this juice keeps chilled for several days so make a large batch all at once!

Steps

Peel the watermelon and lime and cut into small pieces. Cut cucumber into small pieces.

Add mint, watermelon, lime and cucumber to the Slow Juicer.

Once you have the juice, add chia seeds and stir well. Leave covered for 10 minutes to allow the chia seeds to swell.

Stir again and distribute in glasses or serving bottles. Store in the fridge.
